Fireblade Speedo Sensor
Hi
I have got the new style clocks of a 98 blade and my engine is a 97, i have a speedo sensor which mounts into the top of the gearbox, but because of
my year of engine i have to mount it external.
If i were to drill my drive adaptor and insert two magnets, would this have the same effect as the sensor being in the gearbox, or do i need to get a
toothed wheel e.g a cam wheel for the sensor to count??
Any help would be great if you can understand what im babblin on about!!

Yep, it will work 100%, but don't drill your prop adaptor, just araldite two magnets to the sides of it and mount your sensor accordingly on a
little bracket.
Also, you WILL need a "Speedo Healer" or the like to fine tune/tweak,callibrate the speedo display.

FWIW I drilled my magnets partially into the prop adapter just to hold them in place a bit better (in conjunction with Araldite) because Ive heard of
them going AWOL before. You only need a very shallow hole about 6mm diameter to virtually make them a press flush fit, so it doesnt weaken the flange
in any way.
