ZX9B sump baffle

hi does any body know the dif between sumps on a b model a c or newer?

as i ordered a sump baffle at xmas time just got round to fitting it and guess what
it dont fit way too big (about 1 inch all round)
same bolt layout just about an inch larger

only asking as i also got some exhaust gaskets and they were too big
im thinking the engine may not be what i bought
and carnt tell as there are no numbers on the engine (which i knew about)

so does anybody know ?

My uncle has chopped more ZX9 sumps than any other engine and they've all been identical (or at the very least not noticably different), that includes B,C, and E variants as far as I know.

Are there any other casting marks/numbers on it other than the missing engine number? Maybe worth posting a pic, sounds like you might have been lumbered with a ZX6 or something
