Fuel Pressure regulator??

I've got the plate from the bike tank, which has the filter, pump and pressure regulator attached, i wanted to fit this to the tank in the car, "as is" but would the distance the vac feed pipe to the regulator has to travel make any difference??.

cheers
Ray

The vac pipe makes no difference to fuel pressure, its merely a on/off valve.

Anyway that aside provided you use correct pipe (somthing that will not collapse with a vacumn) it will make no difference.

For reference on this a V12 jag uses vacumn to set the EFI, the unit is in the boot so the vacumn run is +6 foot in length and the pressue matters in this application.

I,d look at the diapham on the vacumn end and jam open if that makes sence, thus saving the need to run another tube/pipe.

regards Mark
