Heard that EBC frictions arent great. Im planning to stick with OEM but I guess its a matter of opinion.

Apart from anything else I would be wary because the seller obviously doesnt really know the R1 clutch, otherwise they'd know it had a single
diaphragm spring, and doesnt use a set of coil springs at all. So, you'd either be getting just the plates, or some uprated diaphragm spring
(which I doubt)
As Richie says, the OEM plates seem very good, if you want to spend your money on something more worthwhile, assuming your current friction plates are
serviceable, chip in another £30 and buy a Barnett clutch conversion kit, which converts it to coil spring and gives a more progressive clutch.

Just to be clear, the Barnett kit I mentioned above isnt replacement friction plates, its a replacement pressure plate that gets rid of the standard
pressure plate and diaphragm spring. If your current friction plates are Ok it might be wise to get one now or look at other ways of increasing the
clutch springing (by doubling up on the diaphragm spring), otherwise you're more likely to be effectively waste the current friction plates by
cooking them more quickly with a standard clutch spring.
