blackbird

jon ison may have an answer to this, Im doing a turbo conversion on my bird, im going to put return from oil cooler direct into dry sump tank as jon has suggested to me, new oil feed to turbo will come from new connection in main oil gallery, but rather than blank off the old return at engine from oil cooler can i return turbo oilfeed to this?

What do Holeshot recomend ? there may not be enough pressure in the oil cooler line as it only as a small % of the oil going through it at every one time, I would guess oil gallery with some sort of restriction in it and back too tank, or less of a restriction and back too oil gallery. I would be guided by Holshot on that one personally.

jon, you say that you run your oil cooler return back to tank, what did you do with the old return connection on the crankcase?

blanking plate on block too keep dirt out, if you look you will find it goes straight back into the sump, thats why an accusump in the oil cooler line dont work on a bird.
