R1 start switches ? ( it now runs !! )
On the R1 wiring Diagram I have, the start switch is two black wires, are they 'made' to start or 'broken' to start ?? Also
there are another two pairs in the same area, both made or broken circuits ?? any one remember, Sadly I don't have the diagram infront of me to
help with descriptions
Ignition switch is sorted by the way

On mine ('02) the wire from the relay assembly is shorted to earth to turn the starter.

Stop as in kill switch? Red/black and Red/white (according to the US diagram I have here) ?
You can connect them permanantly, or wire them via a switch for security.
I've connected mine across the NC terminals on a FIA cut-off switch.
Martin.

yes, stop switch is opened to kill the engine, closed to run.

I think it was two reds I joined, but this was after extending them, D'oh I'll have to have a look when i get back to the car, sorry
If you look on the wiring diagram, it shows what colours go to the stop switch, just perm join them, or take them to a remote kill switch

wiring diagram for a 2003 model is,
Red Main Feed
With ignition in 'ON' poss you will have to have Red,Brown and Brown/red conected to each other
Two other wires that need connecting to each other when ignition is 'ON' are Blue/black and Blue/yellow.
Hope this helps
