stripping out lighting wiring r1 02/03

hi does anyone know if i can just cut all the lighting circuits in my r1 injection loom?

You certainly can - just be careful which ires you snip....

I wouldnt just cut the plugs off if thats what you mean, but, because ISTR some things share common earth wires etc. The best bet is to get hold of a Haynes manual for the R1 (make sure you get the 2nd edition with 2002/2003 in it) and then study the wiring diagram. Start crossing off wires you dont need then strip the outer off the loom and start taking those wires out one by one. To start with it will all seem like a huge birdsnest with loads of odds and ends everywhere but it eventually comes back together and you end up with a nice clean loom with no junk.
