r1 output shaft angle

The questions start.....

I have just started fitting my R1 cradle, MK cradle and Indy chassis. My question is does the engine, ouput shaft/adaptor have to be parallel to the diff input flange? Mine is not by a fair way.

Cheers Martin

If it's a standard R1 engine installation, I wouldn't be too concerned. MK have doing R1 cradles for the Indy chassis for years now without any problems.

As I said to Martin, in a live-axle BEC the flanges will never be parallel anyway so it shouldn't really matter in an IRS car anyway!

So long as your prop shaft is well balanced and the UJ angles aren't excessive it shouldn't cause a problem.....
