tube torque
Hi is the tube torque prop on bec worth the extra dosh?
what advantages if any ?

In my opinion, yes. It softens the blow when going through the gears and particularly from neutral to first. If a cush drive is good for the bike, the
TRT prop has got to be the nearest thing for a bike engine installed in the front of a car.

judging by the number of bent selector forks recently its worth the extra money, my chain drive has the bikes cush drive retained too for the same

TRT prop is well worth it so ease the stress on your transmission dogs

When I first ordered my prop from D&F I (stupidly) didn't get a TRT fitted. It used to fairly clatter when changing gear at low speed, to
the extent that I later asked them to fit a TRT to my prop, and what a difference!
It still does clank to an extent, but then again so does the bike at low speed!
I'd recommend having one fitted.

Beautifull news.....
i ordered last week a Bailey Moriss prop... to my specs.. offcourse i also wanted the Torque RT option in it! 
I paid quet allot for it! sow i thought once good en never anymore!

well infact it was 288pounds!
for the shaft!
- 50.8mm
- 2 sierra flanges
- TRT tube
- Mid bearing
765mm + 510mm
Will mail them, looks like they pulled tomuch!
I know they wont do anything but i will let them read this post!

They're two different companies and I'm pretty sure that new propshafts from D&F are more than £150. The price quoted was probably
just for modifications to a Sierra prop for the TRT part.

I got mine from AutoProp nice fella to deal with and seemed to know his onions
Mine was 230 inc vat and delivery

mine didnt have a mid bearing so thats why it was cheaper, it only went from reverse box to diff...
had to have a front prop between engine and reverse box as well which pushed up the price..

That sounds more like it! Mine woulda been about £250 had I got the TRT fitted in the first place. As it was is cost about £200 initially, then
another £110 for the TRT (two piece with centre bearing and sliding joint).
Worth every penny!

Mine from Dunning and Fairbank was around £185 + VAT and delivery. So in total was around the £240 mark...
Good build quality, but be sure to check that the balancing weights have been sufficiently tack welded into place and also that the grease nipples are
torqued up! Whilst I was splitting my rear UJ to get it into the tunnel the grease nipple just dropped out!
All in all though good build quality where it counts but I haven't used it in anger yet!?

would fit if having a reverse box inline as you gain even more backlash , but not so sure if its worth it as in a centre baering setup, incidentally
we have a caterham ireblade car here at the moment for some mods and that is fitted with a donut type cushdrive which bolts in between the sprocket
adapter and the front propshaft, not sure if its a caterham part though but looks like a nice solution, not as heavey or bulky, will have a look to
see if there are any part numbers this afternoon

WTF are you on about...
A TRT from dunning is a £50 loading over the equivalent prop...
I have 2 prop shafts... one from engine to reverse box, one from reverse box to diff..
One is TRT one isnt...
No centre bearing...
That clear enuff

mhh also for the stats my prop will even more expensive!!
i had to return it to the UK after a to big center bearing beeing fitted!
they fitted one wich was 120mm heigh!
and one that has the "open" frame design...
dunno wy but they did it, i didn“t took it into account because i thought they knew enough by saying it will be for a kitcar...
But atleast one day i will have a nice black shiney prop and a good balanced feeling between risks and money for me thats every penny i have
worth!
