Llandow next Saturday
I was just wondering how many are going to the track day at Llandow on Saturday?
Is anyone travelling up from the south west?

Good to meet / see everyone yesterday, hope you all had a good time as well.
My mate Dean who was with me got some decent shots of most cars on track, he's away this week in the US working but when he gets back I'll
post a link to his site so you can download any shots of yourselves.
cheers
Chris

Had a great day. I think we were lucky with the weather which helps. It was the first time on track for me and the car. The only thing i stuggled with
was grip while trying to put the power down out of the corners. Other than that the car handled great.
I will look forward to seeing the pictures and the onboard footage from the Hellfire team.

We both had a great day too. With rain forecast for the day at Llandow, we weren't looking forward to the trip down. Fortunately, it was sunny
for most of the day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's not a very technically challenging track but it is great fun. Definitely be going again

Yep, I like Llandow but wouldnt want to do it all the time cos it isnt that technical like you say, so would possibly get a bit boring after a while.
You can always have a bit of fun at the bus stop though

Hi:
What was the outdoor temp? What was the highest water/oil temps you saw?

Outside air temp. 18-20 degC. Water temp between 110 and 120 deg C...
No oil temp figures.
Any reason for wanting the figures?

Tim, he's still got a big grin. Something like this
Highest oil temperature we saw all day was 108C. Never really paid much attention to the water temperature.

Hi:
The reason I ask--and I hope this doesn't take away from your event--is because I saw some pretty extreme temps yesterday.
On my way home from work, the outside temp was 95 F (35C). Going down the highway at 7k RPMs (~70mph), I saw water temps in the 185 F (85C) range and
oil temps in the 230f (110C) range. I slowed to 55MPH and the oil temps came back down to the 210F range, but it still concerned me.
I'll start a new thread on this because I have some odd going-ons...
It's always great to read about your track days.

I expect you were smiling as well, being allowed out on your own for the first time.

My mate Dean was grinning a lot too, he'd not been out in my car beforehand even on the road, and his only previous track experience was 3 laps
of Silverstone national passengering in a Caterham on one of these "thrill rides" which he said wasnt actually that great.
