R1 Clutch, hydraulic conversion?

I haven't bought the engine for my next project yet, but I aim to buy an R1 engine (probably a low miles 2005-6).
I would use a hydraulic conversion by using wilwood cylinders.
If I use the wilwood pedals 6.25:1, does anyone know the best size of clutch master to use?
I want the pedal travel to hopefully feel like a car and have quite a long stroke.
Any recommendations?

Hello,
No sure about wilwood but a standard mini clutch slave cylinder, standard mini pedals on a R1 has a perfect feel to it, you can pull away easily on tickover, even if you never driven one before.

Cheers David, but I am after a recommendation mainly for the master cylinder size.
Should I use a 0.625, 0.7, 0.75 master?
I am planning to use the wilwood pull slave cylinder, which has quite a long stroke.

I have a hydraulic conversion on my R1 engined single seater - the master cylinder bore is 0.625 and the slave cylinder is standard Metro. Whilst it's only been driven on the rolling road, it feels fine. I can work out the pedal ratio if you want?

I was going to use an adjustable arm (one with holes in to enable me to move the pushrod) on the clutch end but didn't need this.

Excellent, thanks for the pictures!!!
I figured it might be a small cylinder to give longer travel.
I have just ordered the wilwood reverse pedal assembly (3 cylinder bias) and 3 masters. O.75 & 2 X 0.625 plus a slave wilwood cylinder from Rally design. The whole set up was £314.
Hardly Locost, but I am going for a new Reg on my next one!
0.75 and 0.625 is for the brakes and the other 0.625 is for the clutch.

Cheers again, nitram38 (Martin)

Sorry Nitram,
Got confused, the standard mini master cylinder is .75 bore

Cheers

No problem!

You've probably noticed I used an adjustable pushrod as this made it so much easier to setup!

Probably worth considering.

And the ratio is roughly 3.45, based on the following measurements:
Pedal pivot point - pushrod - 55mm
Pedal pivot point to centre of footpad - 190mm
