speedo calibration

I took my R1 indy out for a test drive and the speedo read 45mph at 30mph and 55mph at 40 got it to do 138mph (on the clock, obviously on private land) do you think that would be out by 15mph or the faster it gets the further it goes out, or would anybody with the same car know how far the speedo is out before the speedo healer is fitted.

Cheers Des

Given the inaccuracies, and allowing for a bit of needle wobble/ slightly in accurate gauge, it seems to be roughly 33% out, rather than 15 mph, as this is more likely than a fixed amount.
Oh, what are you using to get the 30 and 40 mph readings?
