gsxr bec
i managed to get a little drive in mac1ZR's car yesterdayand compared to my old blade bec which i thought was quick WOW!! still smileing to
myself now.
i think the smile is a combination of driving a genuinly nice quick car and the anticpation of driving my new build (lighter and more power)
cheers Chris and Marc for the drive

with regards to the oil control issues, ours actually popped its oil cooler hose off at about 10,000rpm chasing a scooby, losing all the oil. Have now
fitted braded hoses with screw type fittings, filled it with oil and it runs as good as new!

custom made alloy tank with fuel pump from bike in the bottom , will hold just over 4 gallons so enough for 100 miles or so. Due to collect it next

i,m known for my frugalness when it comes to fuel usage really i'm only looking for an hour or so's driving before filling up and 100
miles when driven steady on motorway etc i think 25 mpg is achievable and 15 mpg in banzai mode

Its just my experience of them, and I actually had one go bang on me at snetterton, was running on slicks,no sump baffle, stock engine,so we may have
been asking for trouble ,but pushing it through Corum curve, its a big long right hander, then engine gave up so if your going to track it a baffle
is essential,if your going on slicks,a dry sump,or at least a accusump

paul, we have a baffle plate so hopefully we'll be ok. also not running slicks etc so for mainly road use it should be fine

IIRC, Stuart Taylor tried various incarnations of Accusump / baffled / chopped sumps on their Gixer 1000 engine'd Phoenix RGB cars with several
blowups before finally giving up and going dry sump.
Im not sure if those problems were engine model specific and/or caused by racing conditions, but they only race on A048s and the drivers aren't
superhuman so I wouldnt expect significantly different results in a well driven trackday car.
