Using 06 R1 Fuel Pump

My engine kit came with an 06 R1 Fuel Pump. I was going to try and install it direct to my tank (without Swirl Pot). Good or bad idea?

Not a very good idea unless you have some other method of avoiding fuel surge.

So, I'm guessing it's normal fuel pump to Swirl Pot, then R1 pump to TB's?

If you're getting your fuel tank custom made, just put a 2-3 inch sump on the bottom of the tank and install your pump into that.
