price for secondhand 919 fireblade engine??

As above really anyone know going price for an engine or just gearbox got a 919 RRV with a problem in the gearbox and wondering if it might be cheaper to replace than to have stripped and repaired???? problem in gearbox but not sure till stripped down so looking at possible options and speed as the weather is getting better Thanks

I'm pretty sure it will be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand replacement, but then like anything - you don't know what you are getting!

I would price up strip down job // price up an engine from ebay // price up an engine from Malc, yourkshire engines // price up an engine from Andy, AB Performance...

then you will be pretty much certain of the price differences covering all aspects!

Malc is a top bloke and Andy is absolutely spot on, with loads of time for you so just give them a call!

I'll give you fifty quid for the engine with the shot gearbox and can pick up as only round the corner.

Cheers m8 bet you will..... cars still driveable i took it for the MOT saturday and it went straight through its just got a strange noise on 2nd/3rd....

You could also do yourself a huge favour and speak to him about his Fireblade "Reverse Clutch Bracket" it is an awesome well thought out bit of kit, and works like a dream!

I get nothing from this by the way, just (like a LOT of others on here) a very satisfied customer!
