Watch out Turbo BEC boys.........

Ive just picked up my Part Built Indy which has been stood for a good year

and anyway plastered all over the 919 engine is HOB Motorsport.. with a few engraved codes on the cylinder head

The chap was a keen biker and told me the engine has been tuned to the extent he was scared of hitting the limiter

well anyway just out interest I phoned HOB to see what extent they tune and what the codes meant.
they asked for the chaps name and the code on the engine....

ill be back in a minute he said

holy mary he came back on the phone and said - that blade left Hob with 171bhp at the crank

he also had a long read off of mods

Blumin Heck I take RR figures with a pinch of salt and please this is by no means "PROOF"

but Im still happy wooohooooooO!!!!!!!

how much would all that have cost!?

Very nice. My R1 engine was recently tuned to 152 RW BHP (usual dyno caveats apply) which probably means 170ish at the flywheel. It goes a whole lot quicker now it's been done, So much so that at 9000 ish, the rev counter looks like I'm doing wheel spins. It sounds like you've found a very nice engine.
