could have been worse....
went out this afternoon in the mk, managed to rip the front prop uj out of its holder changing from 5th to 6th at a good speed, scaredc the crap out
of me,anyone got a front slider section of a prop??

That's not good hope its not done a lot of damage!
Cant say I would enjoy that experience, as you said could of been a lot worse!

No damage caused other than the front section of the prop, it maybe worth checking components more often on turbo becs as everything is under more
strain,as im finding out, at least I can be guinnie pig for all other turbo conversions, I will take a pic tommorrow, at first I thought it was a uj
failure, but to see the uj ripped clean out

God job it didn't take out the engine casing on the R1 I think it would of done
I think I will check my prop more often!

Glad you're ok, as you say, could have been a lot worse.
Be interesting to see the pic...
Has happened to a few 7s over the years it seems, Liam spoke of having a series of those catching rings around the prop like they have to on some race
cars an dragsters - kinda makes sense when you hear of things like thsi happening maybe?
Anyway, glad you're ok - and just btw - where were you You havent passed SVA yet have you?!

Hi yep it is a good idea to fit catch loops around any propshaft.
You only have to see what the results can be once and you would never run whithout them again.
