HELP with Emissions on 919 Fireblade!!!

Hi Guys,

After a semi successful rolling road session last nite, i need your help with the following.

At normal idle the HC is fine.

At fast idle (2500 - 3000rpm)
These values are with the air box off

HC is 300ppm
CO is 1.00%

These values are with the air box on.

HC is 300 - 350ppm
CO is 1.5%

The Mixture screws are just cracked off.

Any ideas How to get it down further?

Please help SVA is only a week away!

Mike

P.S Please read my other post about Speedohealer in Electrical Section, all help is much appreciated!

Is your cat working OK? I had to find another cat quickly for my SVA as the first one wasn't doing enough.

the CO of 1% and 1.5% after the cat means that either it isn't working or there is HUGE CO before the cat.

removing the airbox will remove the restriction in airflow, puting more air into your engine. It also reduces the fuel as the vacuum in the carbs (that sucks fuel) will be less. Your CO and HC readings are lower with this leaner mixture which suggests you need to go leaner still.

my airbox was on but airfilter out for my readings to come down

youve also got to give the engine a good rev to blow all the crap out the exhaust

I cant remember the lambda but i'm 100% sure its ok as he didnt mention that and i gave him all the regs, i can find out if i need to.

We got the engine hot as we did a couple of runs on the rollers to get the speedo healer values.

I also revved it hard to get the crap out the cat was boiling trust me i have evidence on my hand!
