Fireblade Mixture Screws
Hi guys, after messing with the mixture screws for the emissions at sva, what are the settings using the original air box and filter
AFAIK Its 2-3 turns out from fully in is this correct?

Hi Mike,
Yes IIRC Haynes manual says 2 turns out.

Yep, two turns from closed for standard setup and three turns from closed if/when you fit dynojet kit and filter...

that will be a week mixture and is the factory base settings,you'll deffo want it around 4 turns out but each carb is different, so you start
off at 2 turns out and then wind the mixture screws out one at a time untill the revs pick up,keep an eye on the rev counter as you want to keep base
idle so use the tickover screw to adjust it. once youv done all 4 go back and start again for fine tuning the mixture, its not easy to get it spot on
and with a loud exhaust its even harder ,what your aiming for is a continouse engine tone on tick over,for a better result ballance the carbs first
