Looks good, just looked in the photo archive. That thing is going to shock a lot of people with its speed. Is that a 955 engine in it?

The car is going to be sva'd

Hopefully going for a new plate

the engine is a 955i triple rs good for about 135bhp but I have just taken delivery of a 955 daytona 150bhp

It's going to be interesting to see how well it goes.

I've booked elvington for the 28th fingers crossed it will be ready for the first test

I'm so bloody excited !!!!!

As I have had a r1 mini already

I'm sure I'm going to be a lot safer in a full spaceframe chassis than behind a mini subframe with no engine and a nice tank full of fuel by my feet and a battery to give the spark

The front bulk heads are in steel and I'm sure my little feet will be safe and secure
But thanks for the concern

In a mini you have something called a crumple zone, not very much but a lot more than you have there!!

Now your trying to tell me that a car designed in the 1950's has a crumple zone.

I feel happy that there is enough steel infront of my feet to make me feel safe.I don't want a crumple zone I'll use a mini to slow me down. I've been told by someone that they are nice and soft

I like that very very much

A couple of years ago at Brighton Speed Trials there was Abarth 500 which wasn't very quick, but looked fab and made my day!

If you are worried about safety/crumple zones you should really not be planning to build a locost (or clone).

If someone hits you in the rear you have no real (i.e. designed) crumple zone, just a couple of thin sheets of ally, a couple of mm of grp (or whatever your seat is made of) and a fuel tank between their bonnet and your spine.

There is a report of a hayabusa in a bond bug here
