Finished My Dash today

All,

Today i managed to finish my dash.

I re-cut the dash from 9mm plywood as i wanted to ditch the Bright6 and replace with 12mm warning lights.

I then stuck and screwed a wooden batton to the back of the dash, and then to the dash and wooden batton, i glued and screwed some 19mm dowel from B&Q giving me the correct radius.

I then covered with thin foam, and vinyl.

really pleased with the result.

Here are some pics...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Is that dowel 19mm radius or 19mm diameter? It has the be 19mm radius(38mm Diameter) for SVA unless its padded.

the dowel is 19mm radius. two quarter bits glued together to give 38mm diameter.

my main problem was mounting it...

i did not want any screws showing , so it had to be back mounted, which caused issues - how do you mount it!

then, in the end, i just decided that i did not like the look of them - too small and too close together..

just my view of them. they are neat and compact, but just not for me.
