So it looks as if the final hurdle has been crossed.
DVLA inspection at Newbury today went OK and took less than 20 minutes.
Helpful guys and also the four pages detailing build-schedule and source for components no doubt meant they were happy to just inspect engine &
chassis nos. plus vehicle identity plate.
So now it's down to local DVLA office and Swansea for the reg. number before hitting the open road.

congratulations, i think it took about two weeks before i got my plates, again when i went for built up inspection the guys were more interested in
checking out the car, they saw that i had a stack load of paperwork and just wanted to see the engine compartment and the chassis number, i was in and
out in about 15 minutes!

Confused, you say you had the DVLA inspection then its down to the office? Was it a home visit? Very rare these days.
I dragged mine down to the office showed them tons of paperwork, she checked the endine and chassis number, took me money, gave me the tax and that
was that
I think he must mean its down to local office to process the paperwork following the inspection at the local office and then Swansea to issue new V5 etc. I had to wait for mine too despite having a home visit.
Congratulations not long now hopefully. Must admit that after seeing how busy the local office is, queued nearly 40 minutes just to ask some
questions I'm not looking forward to that bit as I can see it getting pretty frustrating.
Still that'll be the last hurdle.
Local office (DVLA) at Theale and inspection site (VOSA) at Newbury.
Seems a nonesense that it can't all be done when it's being SVA'd.
So its taken two trips to Southampton (SVA then re-test) with the car, one to the local DVLA office (form filling) and then one to VOSA Newbury with
the car for them to decide it's OK.

Well done Pewe.
Just remember to take it steady for a few weeks until you have learnt the foibles of your car.
They drive and handle like no other, and are a handful in the damp and greasy roads of autumn.
ie just take it steady and don't make yourself another project for the winter by trashing your pride and joy.
Other than that.... Have great fun with it!
