Decent contact at DVLA Leeds
RichardK - 4/12/08 at 06:24 PM

I'm going to try and get my car registered at Leeds on Monday or at the very least organise an inspection. Hopefully a home one.

Anybody deal with somebody who knew thier stuff and was helpful in DVLA Leeds. A Name and email would be fantastic.

Cheers

Rich

They made me take the car to their inspection site in Rothwell the week before last. 2 weeks later they sent a vin number so I can apply for SVA.

Hello
I had dealings with the DVLA in Leeds and they were great,no problem at all.

I just walked in off the street and the lad i saw was very good.

The reason i ended up at Leeds is because the DVLA in Beverley were C--P and gave me the right runnaround.

When we registered our car in 2004 it was simple and straight forward.

A couple of months before the SVA I contacted Leeds DVLA and a chap came out to my house (Bradford) checked it over and gave me a VIN number.

The day of the SVA, we passed, MAC in hand with related paperwork and within 3 hours (from Beverley) the car was registered, taxed and on the road.

They even gave me proof of reg (can't remember the form) but it allowed me to call and get a registration plate made up on the way home.

I did have a name and phone number of the chap that came to check the car, but alas that was 4 years ago and I've changed phones.

I've just checked an old thread and the chaps name is ... Paul Harrison

Good Luck.
