Just been checking the blade ready for it's date with destiny, and was thinking, fuel pipe marking, proof of conformity.
Is this a problem, short piece U shaped pipe (original fireblade part) tank to filter... short pipe (again original fireblade part) filter to pump.....short pipe suitably marked going from pump to copper fuel pipe.... short pipe again suitably marked going from copperfuel pipe to T piece on carbs.... T piece to each pair carbs (once again original fireblade part) am I getting paranoid or could there be an issue with the original unmarked fireblade pipes

I'm in a similar situation with he filler pipe. I've a 2 piece that understandably has no markings on because of the length but I'm not forking out around £20 for a metre length when I need 2". Going to just run the risk.

I worried about that as well. Bike carbs had rubber pipes hanging down but I forgot about it. At the back I used proper hose with the letters on the undersize so easy to see. Use proper petrol hose clips as well. They look better for your SVA inspector.

My SVA man didn't say anything about it.

i think you should be alright, i had the same piece of pipe going to the filter unmarked, it was okay...

As you're going to Shrewsbury this is what the inspector ask for. Documentation proving the pipe is designed to carry fuel the car runs on.

He said he's either accept receipts inconjunction with a catlaogue giving details or datasheet from manufactuers website or letter from manufacturer.

this was one of the things i failed on and returned with a datasheet from the manufacturer. He'll photocopy it for the records.

As they're original bike bits could a dealer point you in the right direction for the info or possibly get a local dealer to supply a ltter listing part numbers for the hoses and stating they're suitable for unleaded.

Reason they want is is in case you've used something completely unsuitable and your car bursts into flames. It's purely safety so I can see why they want it
