Well done. That's one of the quickest scratch builds I know of !

Just out of curiosity, how many hours do you think you've sank into the car ?

dogwood - 14/1/09 at 03:28 PM

Don't get me wrong. I didn't build it in 3 months, It took me just on a year from when I started.
I estimated it was a total of 3 months work.

Top effort and a very cheasy grin too

The fat thing is an optical illusion BTW due to the dainty nature of the car your sat in

Pop yourself in a nice 5 series for example and everything will look just right

adithorp - 14/1/09 at 04:02 PM

Nice one!

Where does the "6 weeks" come from then?

Adrian

That's still a sixth of my elapsed build time...

Hi Adrian.

I built my car in France, I hadn't intended to finish it till the summer.
But beause of the new IVA coming in
I decided to get my car finished before xmas. So I could bring it back to the UK with me.
That only gave me 6 weeks to get it finished

Getting it registerd here.
France is a nightmare to get kit cars registered for the road.

It's just a standard mirror from the Sierra
glued into a bit of tube with a bolt welded on the bottom.
Yup it is tall, but it ain't staying.
Putting a aeroscreen on as soon as I can.
