SVA receipts

I see that "certified receipts" are required for SVA, I bought a part finished (!!) project on ebay which included chassis, rear axle, brake bits, engine, gearbox, steering rack etc, most other bits have been from ebay or Locost friends. Anyone know what SVA man will do about lack of detailed receipts? Front top wishbones are from one of the members here, with threaded tube replaced by ebay item welded by a local machine shop, how do I certify that?????

If you haven't got receipts for items you can just say that. What are the DVLA/VOSA going to do? Presumption of innocence says that they cannot refuse to register your car on the grounds of "containing stolen goods" unless they can prove it. Refusal to do so on any other grounds would be fundamentally contrary to one of the fundamental laws of the land. Even a jumped up VOSA/DVLA person hasn't got that power

You can of course always just fire up Word and make up your own invoices for anything you haven't got an invoice for. Ebay invoices probably would be accepted though that sure ain't any evidence of rightful ownership being transferred!!!

I wouldd,nt worry as above.
Also IIRC it's not best to mentioon that it was started by anyone else, it just confuses the issue.??

For VOSA it's not about ownership, stolen parts or anything like that. It's to prove you built it yourself and you're not a manufacturer trying to palm off a factory-build car as an amateur build (with corresponding relaxed rules) by getting the customer to put it through SVA.

An eBay receipt for a pile of parts should be fine, but obviously continue to compile a load of ones for anything you buy from now on.

for the ebay parts iv got a few and have printed an invoice off for each item bought , you should be able to go back through your history on paypal (if thats how you paid) and print them off. im sure thats enough of a receipt at least for those items
