Side and Dipped warning lights for SVA?

Just a quick one - do I need side or dipped warning lights for SVA?

I have rear fog + main beam indicators...

Well no, but my SVA man asked why I didn't have them, went a way for a bit and came back saying it was OK.

It is listed in the new IVA draft tho....

Sorry for the hijack, but I dont suppose this would apply to current UK imports would it? My late 2007 LEON doesn't have this feature, I doubt the latest range do either. The only warning thing my car does when the lights come on is illuminate the dashboard - is that seen as a warning light, I doubt it!
