On my SVA paperwork it says N/A on the emissions, does this mean i dont have any emissions regs when it comes to a MOT?

Paul (Notts) - 19/1/09 at 08:47 PM

Not true, the rules were changed a while back, it should now have the emissions on the bottom of the V5, even if it is a Q.

You lucky git matt, i still have to meet the proper emissions limits on mine!

Got your plates yet?

Not got my V5 yet but on the sva ticket (you know the piece of paper they give you at the sva) it had N/A on it?

Do you think it will be different on the V5 then?

What was the year your engine was made?

flak monkey - 19/1/09 at 10:00 PM

Looks like they forgot to fill it in. Think my MAC had the emissions limits on for the pinto, which is where the dvla got the info from.

It's the Class Code box on the MAC that determines what the DVLA put on your V5 re emissions.

I found out the hard way... Tester made a mistake and my V5 was marked for cat emissions. Took a trip to the SVA station to get it sorted

If it's on a Q plate all of the above is irrelevant - it should be tested for visible smoke only at MoT, doesn't make any difference what the V5 says or what the engine is or how old
