Doing the final prep before SVA. Suddenly realised that I havn't put the chassis number on it yet, will a strip of metal with the number stamped on it pop rivited to a chassis rail be sufficient.

i think it has to be welded on

i asked SVA southampton and they said that a riveted on plate would not sufice, welded or stamped on the chassis only

welded or stamped to chassis mate as said.

For dvla you need another plate with it on aswell.

I only needed one for the DVLA

Passed SVA and DVLA and MOT with 1 alli plate with my choice of VIN rivetted to chassis!
Nottingham SVA and DVLA BTW

SVA isn't fussy, as long as they can read it and it cant be rubbed off.

I had to buy some stamps in the end if you want to borrow them.
