Just got my fireblade powered Striker through its SVA today, after failing twice on noise got it down to 95dB from 108. Now the DVLA to takle
Well done,
It would be nice to describe what you did in order to reduce the noise for future builders.
well done now the fun starts
well done
second on how you got the noise down
For the retest I keptthe same exhaust (6" by 22"
and fitted a restrictor. But found most of the noise was coming from the engine bays and
panels resonating. So fitted and airbox lined the engine bay and side pannels with accoustic foam. managed to get back 12 dB
Ohh!! you finally managed to do it by only using these. Well impressed.
Nice one!
Once you get the plates be carefull out there. These things bite you in the arse at the first oppertunity!
adrian
You failed twice? Is this to say that you got 2 SVA retests? I thought you were only allowed one?
WELL DONE MATE!
