Just been rung by Notts test station to say they had got my paperwork and would like to book my test.
Theres a slight snag, the latest date in april they can offer is the 6th which I wont be ready for.
Tried Beverly but they only do their SVA tests in the morning and due to family commitments I cant make that.
Tried to talk to birmingham and their SVA section has nobody in it till tuesday.

Not really the test stations fault though. You put the paperwork in and in theory the car should be ready for testing when you do. Given the number of
applications going in at the moment it's no surprise that the available dates are restricted.
Just playing devils advocate. I hope you get it sorted.
adrian
I know you are adrian its just frustrating. Knowing the deadline is approaching a lot of people have done the same thing hoping to be finished by
their test.
And I know its not their fault.
Mines is booked for 30th March but I doubt I'll be ready. I'd rather fail an SVA and do a retest than do an IVA.
Problem is it's the only date I could do till mid May so not a lot of choice in the matter.
I just spoke to the Notts SVA station and changed my date from 24th March to 7th April. He said hes not seen an MNR before so is looking forward to it dont know if thats a good or bad thing

What about the rumour that they're extending tests into May? Someone posted on here on sat that he'd been given a May date...
linky
Maybe the word hasn't gotten around all the test centres yet....
Cheers
Vince
according to the woman I spoke to in the VOSA section at swansea they cannot extend the test deadline as that is legislated date of change.
Have you put the back lights in yet since I helped you with the rear wings and tub..... All you have left to do is front bonnet, front lights, front
wings, seats, back seats to make up and to tidy up that mess called a relay box of wires.....can't be too difficult if you work all hours.....

Fitted one side after making all the brackets on sunday will be fitting the other side over a few nights this week then we move to the front.
Off to see john to get the heat shield, the light brackets without tear drops, and have the front hubs reamed, on the 25th, so I can fit the cycle
wings.
Once again many thanks for your help Tim maybe we can come to you when Tango is on the road
The list on the board is slowly getting sorter but not quick enough it feels.

If its presented not finshed the examiner said they can refuse to test it. You would then be refunded you test fee less £64 probably an inconvenience charge and you would then have to resubmit you paperwork and start the process again meaning you would then be in IVA anyway.
And that is from the examiner at notts
Good news!!!!
Managed to get into birmingham with a start time of 10 am to get around child care issue
Yipeee
Now just need to get cracking on the long list of stuff to do.
Was in the garage til 9 pm last night fitting rear lights
