No ! or at least I didn't even though they had all the paper work a week before inspection. Inspection was carried out by a rather nice young lady who phoned me later the same day with the registration number so I was able to organise the number plates but she forgot to frank the envelope when she posted the paperwork to me . Had to wait a week or more for the tax disc etc to arrive.Have you been told it's OK to drive there?

Mine took about 2 days from Peterborough. Stamford Halfords for the number plates and on the road about 30 seconds later.

Where in Lincs are you?

I took everything but insurance on my inspection (as they hadn't sent the cert due to a cock up) so they did all the paperwork ready for me to send/take the Insurance in . when the certificate finaly arrived I rang them and they were most apologetic that they had processed the registration without it by mistake . the reg doc arrived later that day and I was on the road by tea time

in all, 2 or 3 days max and should have been less

go steady

I got my tax and the paper work for my plates at the inspection so i was on the road straight away
That was at peterborough about 3 years ago
