hi all,iv done it,
so im well happy, its such a buzz knowing you have built a car and its passed all the checks,
right well,on my way up i had to stop about 5 times,it was running far to rich, what i had done was block some holes in the zx9r carbs, now what that
did was make me run well rich,
so there i was at the side off the road bonit off drill in hand going at it.
sorted that it still ant right, what i done before i left i put a teners worth of 97 ron fuel in,i already had half a tank of 95ron so as soon as i had
used half of that lot i filled up again with 97ron,and after that it was running like a dream.
the sun was out,the car was sweet then i hit the mother of all traffic jams getting into micham.i still got there in time.
the people at micham are a1,ian the tester is a top bloke,he tests all the kit cars,so if you can get there i would say its worth it,20mins after
getting there i was on my way back,
so now i can take off all the bits i had to put on for the test, and fit my small sterring wheel ect ect,
i was thinking of writing a post to people who are thinking about building a kit car but may think its to hard to do,or think the iva is to much of a
herdle to get over, also to tell them what you get out of building a car?
thanks to all you lot for your help
jamie

Nice one mate. Well done!
Now I see why you asked me if I was building an Indy
'cos of my nosecone
JB

Well done!
Just the DVLA now!
Fozzie
I will move the thread though, as I am sure people preparing for IVA will look there first....
Well done
BIG UP to you Jamie
I know you had a "wobble" in the build up to the test, but I'll bet that seems a very minor thing now you've got your MAC in your
hand.
DVLA, plates and tax to go then your away for the summer. Take it easy, learn the car and keep in on the black stuff

Any issues, or any major changes you had to make when you decided to go for the IVA?

Well done, nice to know IVA is as doable as SVA
Was there any problems with fuel tank position? a few posts on here have given the impression that it should be protected with some sort of cage.
Well done.
You can also go down in the history books as the first IVA pass off the Locost builders!
Don't forget the post - IVA obligatory photo - and remember to photocopy your MAC - you don't get it back.
