Non E marked lights

Morning all

I'm thinking of fitting some daylight running LED lights to the car. As the car has already been SVA'd etc does fitting a light that isn't E marked to the existing set up make the car illegal/void insurance etc?

Having problems finding two units that fit my size needs and are also E marked but also don't want to make the car illegal for the addition of two lights.

Cheers all

Should be ok for them not to be e-marked. So long as they are not too intense, they should be ok for MOT too.

are E marks check for MOT? never thought of that.

doesn't really matter as all you have to do is disconnect them for the MOT as I do for my nissans driving lights which are meant to have a switch on the dash but I can't be bothered fitting

Dont think so. Looking at all the chavs driving round with those stupid clear lights, i should think not.

If not, as whippy says, just disconnect for MOT.
