Going to replace the aero screens on my Striker with the the full size screen. My question is: do I then have to fit a wiper and washer system for MOT purposes? The car is registerd on age related plates (1979)

If you have a screen you need to be able to clean and demist it.

If you have a screen you will need washers and wipers to get through an MOT test,demisters aren't needed for an MOT

the exception is if the screen can be folded down or removed, at least as far as I know.

You could always remove the screen for your MOT - 3 bolts each side....?

only 2 each side for mine!
as stated, wipers and washers will be needed

there nothing worse than not being able to clean the screen though so would still fit wipers
