Can anyone foresee major pitfalls with IVA-ing a car based on an early-style MG Midget silhouette?
For example, are lighting positions, exterior radii, pedestrian safety features all fundamentally OK?
Reason for asking is that I hope to start building soon, and whilst I'm willing to accept some challenges along the way, I don't want to
waste time on an idea if it's fundamentally flawed.
Cheers.
Assuming you mean a 1960's Midget: the front side and flasher lights are positioned below the headlights. You could check that these meet the minimum height requirements of the diagram in the IVA manual.
why iva? just keep reg and chassis plate
Do you think Mr MoT man would be OK with that?
(Car will be a steel space-frame, 99% GRP panels, Honda S2k engine and box etc. - very little if any original Sprite left!)

Are you adding a 'roll cage' to an existing car that extends to suspension pick up point reinforcement and maintaining the original
structure OR are you starting from scratch and hanging panels off the new structure.
I *think* if its the first you're ok - but i'm no expert on this subject.
So indicators and side-lights need to be at least 350mm off the ground, is that right?
(If so, that's OK: They're about 450mm ish.)
Any other obvious problem areas?
