I was just going to start the same thread!!.... finding a Vitesse chassis wouldn't be easy but I do like the car...

Sounds about right, a suspension change and a remount of the engine shouldn't need a test. It looks really nice, although I suspect there's still a fair bit of money needed to get it to a decent standard.

yep similar to the Ribble Navigator I've just put the 3rd coat of paint on 10 minutes ago, its a frame and a body on an unmodified chassis so therefore no IVA. You used to have to have a DVLA inspection at the local office but since they closed them all its a paperwork only exercise to change the vehicle type on the V5

I like that

Be interesting to know how much a nice standard of build would cost in the end though ?

Knowing the whereabouts of a Vitesse is what made me interested in this, although i can not see how coil overs and a plastic tub would make a Vitesse handle better ..... than a Vitesse.

It is interesting though

Re chassis, it is identical to the herald chassis. And I can see no reason why it couldn't be built as a herald based car, and then swap the engine/box etc either before or after conversion.
OK, mk2 vitesse had rotoflex suspension, heralds didn't, but that can all be sorted easily enough (for some cash of course)

similar approach as sammio or ribble cars are doing.

re-body on an existing, un-modified chassis.

the only downside..the original triumph (poor engineered) rear suspension

would be nice having a 5-linked live axle but i do not know any donor car which would fulfill such a wish.
