I wouldn't want to drill lots of 6mm holes in a chassis personally 2/3mm holes ok .

Yes fine for IVA as its what tin tops have. As said though it's a lot of relatively large holes in the chassis, so I fitted/riveted ally strip down the tunnel for the long runs and tags in other areas, then drilled that for the clips. The rivet holes are much smaller than those required for the clips.
