When I take my car for SVA, I am taking it with no screen so I dont have to fit wipers etc, the screen will be fitted after the car has passed it SVA.

However, when the car is ready for its 1st MOT, does the screen need to come back off since the car will still not have any wipers.

For MoT if you have a screen (unless it can fold flat) you need both washers & wipers

Go for aeroscreen much better.

ditto aeroscreen. That is what i have done and works well. Mine is Mac#1 aeroscreen - nice and locost.

If you have a full screen then you are likely to want wipers and demist, for your own benefit rather than meeting the regs.

Try driving any car in the rain without the wipers on...

If you have no wipers, you stand the risk of plod pulling you under 'construction and use' regs. Saying that, I ran for 6 months with none (still don't have washers!).
