Daylight SVA?
chrisg - 14/8/06 at 09:55 PM

Unless i dreampt it (which is possible) the VOSA SVA site used to have details on a daylight SVA

i.e. atest for vehicles that were only for use during the hours of daylight thus only requiring indicators and brake lights.

I can't find it now, does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Chris

There is certainly a daylight MOT so theoretically should be a daylight SVA.

I've often wondered about this.

I've not really dug into it, in theory it must be true but .......... i've got a sneaky suspicion its one of those cases that the SVA rules are tighter than MOT.

think it only applies to motorbikes.

Daylight MOT or daylight SVA?

The full bodied (sportscar type) Westfield which appeared on eBay a few times at the back end of 2005 had a daylight only MOT, and it was certainly a car

but i'm 95% sure it was made before SVA came into force.

If you can do daylight MOT - it makes road legal single seaters a lot easier / better looking.

I don't understand how you can have a daylight MOT or daylight SVA as the law now states that headlights MUST be used in adverse weather conditions.
