hector - 24/4/07 at 01:48 PM

Had me a first time pass today at exeter! only a couple of things which tester let me rectify
1. 2 spring washers needed on seat bolts
2. fuel cap rubber seal perished.

fitted new washers for no 1
Tester allowed me to nip away and get replacement fuel cap at local motor factors for no 2

Got my DVLA inspection tomorrow so will be on the road very soon
I am a very happy chappy!!!!

cheers to all on here who have given me ideas/advice etc, its been a great help

cheers Colin

Well done, that man!
Whereabouts in Plymouth are you? (I'll keep an eye out when I'm driving around)

Andy.

PS looking at your photo archive, what did you use to crimp the eyelets on your handbrake cable?

jollygreengiant - 24/4/07 at 05:38 PM

Congratulations mate. Well done. ETC.

Welcome to the growing number of Luego owners ON THE ROAD. (Says one who's not finnished building yet.)
Does this mean that we can expect you With Car at Stoneleigh.???

HI Andy

I am in Plympton.

I went to a lifting/crane/cable place in Langage they crimped ends for a couple of quid!

Took laptop with all me piccys for inspector to look at but he did not even ask to see them, would definetly recommend Exeter-very helpful and fair chap.

Great news sir

Funny enough I moved the front diff and transfer box/shafts I had off you to a different lock up today

I never found that 2.8 injection aux devices wiring diagram I was trying to find for you btw!

Billy might even drag his kit out at somepoint this year so we could meet up after you've shaken yours down

Cheers

G

Hi G

Nice to hear from you !

yea i guessed that about the wiring, not too worried about that at moment- I just want to get out and about in it for the summer. Can then think about sorting out the spare engine i have and fitting the T Technics kit then......

cheers Colin

nice one on the pass!!, do you need to use spring washers or will a standard washer and nyloc do.

[Edited on 24/4/07 by darrens]

nyloc and washer will do but make sure the threads protrude thro nut- 2 of mine didnt, thats why i needed two spring washers!! it then passed no probs
cheers colin
