If you use silly fonts or start altering numbers to look like letters etc you are just asking for trouble - I reckon you will be ok.
ok people what size front number plate are we using ? a full size one looks like shit.
i've got a 12" x 3" one with the correct font made up that i've put on.
anyone got a few pics ?
dont know the size but mines sticky from fancy plates and 3/4 size
Mine's about your size - ok it's certainly not legal but I simply scaled down a 'real' one and Mr Plod hasn't bothered me
about it yet.

My rear small one cost me £60 in
fines so went back to std plate they
have never evan looked at size of my
small front plate so may as well remove it.
We've never had a plate on the front, I reckon it's easier to plead that "it must've fallen off" than explain why you have an
illegal plate.
The only time plod mentioned it (was pulled for speeding) I blagged him by saying as it was under 650kgs that I didn't need one. I don't
think a proper traffic cop would've been fooled tho

as far as number plates are concerned as long as it can be read at 20.5m then that's good enough.....
single line plates is still a no-no and letterbox size type plates as well..

Whilst it is for a motorcycle, I would suggest if pulled and under caution you starte that the number plate was not designed to deceive and ask him to
verify "under caution" that the plate was legible at 20.5 metres.
If nothing else it'll p*ss him off and you were getting a ticket anyway,

I thought that a "non european type approved vehicle" can have small number plates at the front.
All amature built cars must meet this condition?

connect it up to the exup servo so it rotates out of view when planting it.
Up this way we dont have fixed cameras rear shot just scamera vans that daytime front view.
my tom tom sorts the sites out so you know where to go easy.......
The South African trick was dyslexic number plates........so when the cop with a standard two education read it he got it wrong.....

I will be doing the broken plate one for sure, no question about it.
i cut my standard plate down for the front. Fonts and spacing is fully legal so no probs reading it at distance.
