Position of rear brake calipers?
scoop - 1/5/07 at 03:08 PM

What a day ive had trying to fit the ruddy calipers.
Because of the position of the bottom of the shock ive had to make a new mounting bracket and decided to put them on the bottom of the disc. Just to much for my brain to measure one up to mount on the front.
Is there a problem with this and the SVA?
Cheers.

as long as they work, I can't see it as a bad idea, in fact it is a good idea as it keeps the weight down - I'm sure motorcylces have them in this positon but not cars, I wonder why that is?

No problem at all except you will have to whip them off to bleed them (nipples will end up on the bottom)

The only other drawback i can see is that all the crap will fall into them.
I quite like the look because it looks like there is no caliper as you look down.
Thanks for your replies so far.
