Get a Non Q Plate
Omni - 18/7/07 at 07:23 PM

Hi All,

I have tried to save myself a bit of time by buying someone abandoned project, however I have no receipt for the Steel so how will I get away with getting the 5 points for the new chassis (That I built ;-) wink wink)?

Any ideas?

O

Write yourself a receipt from a chassis making company. It's not like they ring up to check all your bills.....

I's nice when you find honest people in the world isn't it!!!

Just get on the web, find a steel supplier and get some logos.....

Okay, my initial post made it sound like you nick someone else's letterhead. That's a little bit dodge for me. Personally I'd just make up YOUR OWN chassis making company and right yourself a receipt.........

They're not transferrable, therefore you can never have a personalised reg fitted.

You don't need a receipt for the steel to get an age related plate, just two major components from a donor, or am I wrong and you want a new reg?

There is nothing worng with a Q plate I just want to have an age related plate so that I can put a private plate on it

As far as I was aware you needed a receipt for the steel to show it was a new chassis. That way you only need two other major components to get over the 8 points. Can anyone shed any light on this?
