Hi, I am trying to register my locost in finland but i cant becaus in here finland they dont know how SVA Locost....
can anybody get me the holy SVA statures ja test metods in order i can try register it....
Sry my bad english....
SVA is the process used in the UK, and will not be applied in Finland. You will need to register your Locost using Finland's registration
process.
Good luck

or sva it here and import it
Although if you do the SVA in england you may have tax issues when you import it. If you get a really old lotus its cheap (like 20+ years)
i mean that if you can send me the uk regiser methods then i can apply it in here.... mostly l am intrested the frame and chase tests and mechanics tests..
the most problem in finland is that nobody knows how to test the chaisis and frame and mechanics..
and they dont know what are the requirement for this car type
How do they test self built cars then? Or isn't it allowed to build one off specials?
i have called to ake and they sayd that the car is have to full all pollution and security criteries.... and the frame have to bee typed in finland
Does that then mean you can't import or build a replica of an original sidevalve powered Lotus 7 for example? I doubt very much one of those
would pass structural let alone emissions tests anywhere on this planet these days!

but we race in finland whit locost wits are madet whit that book.... but aur laws allow home madet vehicles but the frame have to bee typed in finland
and there is have to bee ready practise for registeration ....

except you have to contend with the tax implications of importing a car into finland - hence my comment about needing to find an old tax exempt car.

What's the use of European laws if each country uses its own laws.
Normally spoken an European law should apply to every European country.
For which sake is there an European parlement?
In this case a car must be crash tested and have a Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
And what I understood it wasnīt easy for builders in Belgium to register a car.
So what happened to your post?
I ask myself the same question, it's gone...
Like I said before (???) to register a self build car in Belgium, we've to do SVA and register it in the UK and then import it back to
Belgium.
And the we start all over again, SVA in Belgium.

Any progress with SVA?
