Got my car registered and came away with a document allowing me to get plates.
I was that jacked off with them in DVLA that i just grabbed my docs and left.
Onlywhen i got in the car to go did i realise i dont have a V5, only this document entitleing me to buy plates.
I trust this is a temporary document and my V5 will follow in the post?
If so how long have you guys waited for your V5?
thanks
Your V5 should follow through the post about 2 weeks later.
i got a bit of paper to take to get plates made up
v5 came in the post 5 or 10 days later.

V5 arrived in the post about a week after completion of registration. I take it the DVLA were their usual helpful self?
Errr yep! link
V5 will arrive - don;t worry. I think you can tax on line - pretty sure I did since I was on the road immedaiatley and did not use the certificate
for buying tax disc.
I think I may even have driven immedaitley as well before the tax disc arrived.
So don't worry - excpet in your case you are wanting to sell so do the magic rain dance waving those mystic beads to speed up the v5 arrival.
