Hi all, is it a sva requirement to have a min/max level indicator on a header tank or warning switch/light.

As none of the aluminium types have a level indicator on them.

Thanks

no
you dont even need water in the engine

as long as it runs for long enough lol

edit
i wouldnt advise turning up for sva with out coolant.

^unless you're using an air cooled engine...

I am using a rover plastic expansion bottle with a level sensor and a light on my dash.

The only level indicator you need for sva is the brake fluid reservoir - everything else is purely up to you.
