Mr G - 25/7/08 at 09:00 PM

You might be surprised by tesco - I was when they were the best deal on my 4i.

Failing that Graham Sykes are pretty good

The spotty teenager was lost in space....

g893xbc doesnt come up on the online sites either.

Mr G - 25/7/08 at 09:10 PM

Well THIS is the Motor Insurance Database and it's showing up as insured so i'm sure the insurance companies must have that model on their quote systems?

spotty teenager?! what have they got to do with a P100 pickup? lol

surely its not just because of its age? or a combination of age and commercial vehicle? like, it would normally have been wrecked years ago and scrapped?

mangogrooveworkshop - 25/7/08 at 09:22 PM

The spotty teenager was in the direct line call center.....it was a bit like phoning an Indian call center...ok till it didnt fit the script

blakep82 - 25/7/08 at 09:27 PM

ah, i see what you mean... i like the way these insurance companies, you make the application with someone in britain, and you 'almost' think, 'this is ok' until you phone back to an indian call centre and they don't have a basic grasp of english...

I was shocked this week. Phone Norwich Union to change address. got through to Mr. Unpronouncable in Dehli. His English was very good, no issues understanding him at all and everything dealt with accurately and efficiently.

Shame i have such a battle each year with the UK renewals team! (i get discount via price matching if i get an online quote from them first!!!!)

mangogrooveworkshop - 25/7/08 at 10:30 PM

Cheers,

Try Caithness

Seem to be popular with the Sylva chaps and apparently sympathetic to most things....

Being a fellow Fifer I know will be as tight if not worse than me!! This is the guaranteed way to get the cheapest insurance possible??????

1: Sign up to QUIDCO ,it costs you £5 per year but it only comes off after you save more than £5, you never pay anything to them you just don't get the 1st £5

2: Go through QUIDCO to get your insurance.

3: Be very happy knowing you've just saved heaps.

To date over the last 2 years I've had over £400 cash back just on car/van/bike insurance!!!

Read through the tips on the site to make sure everything goes smooth (I've not had a single problem yet) I insured my van through YES but I think they're are better cashback deals at the moment.

Cheers
