hi all i was just wondering if anyone has faled before for the exhaust back box getting to hot .should i be making some sort of heatsheald or are they ok without many thanks ian

Being searingly hot is fine, just as long as it doesn't have any sharp edges...

Make it glow....the tester doesnt care as long as it doesnt have any edges......Stupid.....but true

As above, SVA rules allow you to burn someone but not cut them. We should really rename heatshields under existing SVA regs to something like "edge shields"

the header pipe coming through the bodywork is even hotter - but that is not tested so why should the box be?

as ^^^^ say, it is tested fro sharp edges only.
