URGENT SVA HELP NEEDED !!

Hi All

Have been a muppet and need to source / buy / borrow locally for SVA on Tuesday (so by Monday night !)

2x 12mm fine (1mm pitch ?) nuts for seatbelt floor bolts, and

an electronic three pin flasher relay / unit suitable for running LED indicators

Am based Beds / Cambs / Herts borders

Any help gratefully received !!

Try ringing Namrick re the bolts. They post pretty quickly. Might arrive Monday.....

If all else fails use a normal flasher relay and some relays...

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but are you sure they're M12 Fine? Almost all standard belts are 7/16" UNF (11.11mm).

Not at all a stupid question - been caught with metric equivalent guessing before...

I'll try 7/16 UNF too and see what happens

Thanks all for your suggestions - I have sorted the harness nuts from a proper old fashioned local hardware store in Biggleswade. Goldthorpe's on London Road - can't recommend it highly enough. Took one look at the bolts and wandered out with the correct nut first time. Also had in stock several different sizes of number and letter punch set so was able to sort out my VIN today as well.

Just need to sort out the fast flashers and I'm there. If I can't get the right flasher sorted I will wire up an extra bulb or two with the flasher to up the load - should work I suppose.

Halfords have a range of flashers - just pick suitable one off the shelf. I think I went for a 10A one.

Oh you have low current bulbs. Any electronic flasher will do then

I have a spare Hella electronic flasher. If not, I have some spare bulbs you can wire in.

I'm at home all day. Can pop over if you need.

if you are using LED indicators you probably need a dropper resistor as the LEDs dont draw enough current for the older relays hence why they flash fast

Not a dropper resistor, but a resistor in parallel, which I think he knows anyway since he is talking about lamps in parallel.

By far simplest is Halfords electronic flasher unit. £5 ish
